Q When will Open 21 take place?
A The main plenary sessions will take place December 7 – 9, 2021 from approximately 9:00am – 12:00pm PT each day. We may adjust the hours slightly based on the number of total sessions.
Q What time zone will the virtual conference be in?
A Sessions will take place in Pacific Time however the conference platform will adjust the session times to your local time zone.
Q Will I be able to view the agenda prior to registering?
A You can view the schedule here. Once you’ve reviewed the agenda, we recommendation you add all meetings and sessions that you want to attend to your calendar, so you don’t schedule something else during that time. Some conference attendees put an “out of office” on for the designated hours so people don’t expect an immediate answer.
Q Will I need to register to participate in the virtual conference?
A Yes, whether you’re presenting or attending, you’ll need to register to participate. Once you’ve registered, the process is simple.
- You’ll receive a link to the virtual conference about a week before the conference so you can log in and start to explore sessions.
- When you click the link you’ll go automatically to the Open 21 registration system where you can log in with your Open 21 credentials.
- Once logged in you’ll go automatically to the Open 21 home page.
Q When do I need to register by to participate?
A You can register up until the day of, however, if you register by November 1 you’ll receive a Limited Edition Open 21 zip-up hoodie.
Q Do I need to register to present?
A Everyone presenting must be registered for the conference.
Q Do I need to be an Openprise customer to attend?
A No, Open 21 is open to everyone.
Q Are there discounts if I can only attend one day or just for my session?
A No. All registrants will be able to access all conference content on-demand starting one week after the the conference concludes.
Q Will content be available on demand?
A Yes, we’ll record all the sessions and make them available to conference registrants only, and your registration will provide access to conference content on-demand.
Q Will presentations be live or pre-recorded?
A Both. Each session will conclude with a live Q&A engagement with the presenter, either with a moderator or online chat, and polling features.
Q What tech requirements do I need to participate in the virtual conference?
A Once registered you can access the virtual conference and watch from your desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile device. The platform works best with Chrome but you can also use Firefox. We don’t recommend using Safari, as it can be unstable.
Q What should I do before the start of the virtual conference?
A Check your internet bandwidth. You can check your bandwidth online. The recommended internet speed is at least:
- Receiving 1080p HD video requires 2.5mbps (up/down)
- Sending 1080p HD video requires 3.0 Mbps (up/down)
