Former Openprise customer and seasoned enterprise SaaS executive joins to lead the company as it scales into its next stage of growth and expansion
SAN MATEO, Calif. — August 17, 2026 — Openprise, the AI and data orchestration platform built for modern go-to-market teams, today announced the appointment of John Narbaitz as Chief Executive Officer, effective today.
Narbaitz joins Openprise at a pivotal moment in the company’s evolution as it invests in the next stage of growth, building on more than a decade of helping enterprise Ops teams solve their most complex data and automation challenges.
Narbaitz brings more than two decades of sales, solutions consulting, and engineering leadership across some of the most recognized names in enterprise software. Most recently Chief Operating Officer at AppZen, he has held senior sales and go-to-market leadership roles at Prysm, Apttus, Hewlett-Packard, Autonomy, and Interwoven. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
Notably, Narbaitz comes to Openprise as a former customer, and someone who has experienced firsthand the value the platform delivers to revenue and operations teams.
“The opportunity in front of Openprise is bigger than it has ever been,” said Ed King, Founder and Chief Product Officer of Openprise. “Bringing John in as CEO is an investment in that future. He has the experience to help us scale what we’ve built and take Openprise to the next level. As a former Openprise customer, he already well knows the solution, its value, and what customers expect from us.”
The appointment comes as demand accelerates for Openprise's platform, especially as it becomes increasingly a trusted execution layer that enterprise AI agents depend on to actually work in production.
“I’ve experienced Openprise from the customer side, so I’m coming into this role with a deep appreciation for what the team has built and the complex problems it solves,” said John Narbaitz, CEO of Openprise. “There’s a tremendous opportunity ahead of us. Companies are investing aggressively in AI and automation, but making those investments work at enterprise scale requires the right data and operational foundation underneath them. Openprise has spent years building exactly that foundation. I’m excited to work with Ed and the entire team to build on that strength, expand our reach, and take the company into its next phase of growth.”
Building on a strong foundation
As AI changes what GTM teams expect from their technology stack, that foundation is becoming increasingly important. Openprise is investing in the next generation of its platform to help enterprises connect AI to trusted data and deterministic execution, giving Ops and IT teams greater control over how AI interacts with production systems.
Narbaitz will lead Openprise through this next stage of expansion, with a focus on scaling the business, deepening customer value, and extending the company’s position at the intersection of enterprise data, automation, and AI.
