Austin, TX – October 30, 2017 – Openprise, the leader in data orchestration solutions for marketing and sales, today announced at the Sirius Decisions Technology Exchange that the latest release of the Openprise Data Orchestration Platform now includes new capabilities for GDPR compliance. The Openprise solution provides visibility, control, and access management inside and outside of a company, without the added complexity of traditional compliance solutions.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which takes effect on May 25, 2018, strengthens data protection for all individuals within the European Union (EU). It also addresses the export of personal data outside the EU. It affects any company, including US companies, with EU prospect or customer data in its marketing and sales systems, even if it doesn’t have offices or salespeople in the EU. Authorities can fine companies up to €20 million or 4% of a company’s annual global revenue, whichever is greater, based on the seriousness of the breach and damages incurred.
“The vast majority of US-based companies are woefully unprepared for GDPR, and this new set of regulations has teeth,” said Ed King, Founder & CEO of Openprise. “We’ve heard from our customers that they want a central control point to help maintain compliance with GDPR. Openprise’s position in the MarTech stack as the conductor that manages the movement and processing of data across systems puts it in a unique position to serve as this control point.”
The Openprise Data Orchestration Platform automates critical business processes, including data onboarding, data cleansing and enrichment, data unification across systems, and data delivery. Openprise is designed from the ground up for CRM, so it has the business rules, best practices, and data built right in, and it seamlessly integrates with solutions like Marketo, Eloqua, Pardot, and Salesforce, which are often a company’s system of record for prospect and customer data.
With Openprise, companies can:
Control the Flow of EU Data Out of Your Company through Fine-Grained Data Filters and Permission Roles—Openprise can ensure EU lead and contact data never gets unintendedly processed by third party data providers, as well as control the flow of EU data to agencies and other partners.
Identify Leads and Contacts that Fall Under GDPR, Even If They’re Missing a Valid Country Field Value—Openprise can flag potential EU records based on email address, IP address, phone number, and more. It can also cleanse and normalize country field values to ensure typos don’t inadvertently result in EU data being sent out. In addition, Openprise can pinpoint potential EU data based on any custom field in sales and marketing automation solutions so that contact information doesn’t accidentally fall through the cracks.
Maintain Detailed Reporting on All Data Processing Activities Inside Openprise and Across Third Parties—Openprise provides comprehensive audit trails that detail what has been done to every record, and complete log records that show which records have been processed by your partners.
